Netflix has hit it big with the reality dating show, Love is Blind. It is hosted by Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey and the couple has worked hard to get this show where it is now. The last time we saw them was on the explosive season two reunion special and it was intense! The couple wanted to open up to their fans about it and what it was like to film the reunion special.
Love is Blind: Nick and Vanessa Open Up
Nick told fans, “There’s really no way to predict or know how anyone is gonna act at any given point. So, I didn’t go in with any kind of expectation. I knew there were certainly some things that people felt like they wanted to get some closure on, and I think that those were accomplished for the most part. It’s really difficult when you’re dealing with emotion and humans and their lives, and there’s really no way to predict how that’s all gonna go down, honestly.”
Love is Blind: Season Two Reunion Drama
This show is an experiment to see if couples can connect without ever seeing one another. The couples talk to one another across a wall for weeks and then at the end of the experiment, some get engaged. Those who get engaged finally get to meet their love and then go through life together until they get married. They will go on a honeymoon and then move in together to face the realities of life to determine if love really is blind. When the couples get to the alter, they can decide if they want to get married or not.
Vanessa added, “We were there, for gosh, three to four hours talking tothem. I know people are like, ‘Oh, I wanna see the other three hours,’ because you only got the one-hour version, but there’s a lot of emotion: both high highs, low lows. People were crying and people walked off set. Obviously, some of it got aired.” Vanessa wants fans to know why they do the show. “Hopefully, people can watch it and learn from it, and hopefully, people can watch it and be intrigued by it. I think ultimately when Nick and I wanted to host the show… we wanted people to start talking about seeing love in its true form, which is having an emotional foundation.”
Love is Blind is still streaming on Netflix and you can binge the entire season now.
