Britney Spears fans have been both celebrating the singer’s new-found freedom. However, they’ve also been curious as to what’s next for the singer. Well, we apparently got that answer on February 21st. Here’s what you need to know about the star’s latest move, as well as the hint she left prior to the confirmation.
Britney Spears drops hints
First off, Britney Spears recently posted a picture of her and Matthew Rosengart, her new attorney. Besides praising him for turning her life around, she also revealed they’d had a lunch meeting together. According to her, there are exciting projects in the works. And we’re sure fans will agree with this particular news.
Britney Spears tells all
According to People Magazine, they’ve confirmed the singer has signed a multi-million dollar deal to write her own book. As you likely know, Britney Spears and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, have feuded quite a bit recently over the younger Spears’ own memoir. This led to their attorneys exchanging letters on the sisters’ behalf.
Of course, the Simon & Shuster deal should come as no surprise. The singer has not been shy about sharing her feelings about the conservatorship, as well as her family. And given how upset she clearly was about what was said about her in her sister’s book, it would make sense Britney would want to get her side of the story out there.
And we applaud her for making this move. The singer mentioned more than once on her social media that she has issues putting herself out there, thanks to what she’s dealt with. However, it looks like the healing she mentioned in another post has allowed her to take this step. And we are positive this book is going to be an instant hit, as there is a lot of support behind the singer.
The upside for Britney Spears
Besides the obvious payday, there are a lot of positives for Britney taking on this project. It will allow her to use her voice in a different way. At least, until she’s ready to get back on a stage—if that day comes. Plus, a book isn’t an easy prospect. It takes a lot of time, allowing her to heal even more throughout the process and be prepared for the day she has to step back into the spotlight to talk about it.
There’s another plus for Spears in all this. She’s said in numerous posts, she’s not here to be a victim. She’s hear to speak for others who’ve experienced these types of abusive situations and bring these things further into the spotlight. Sharing her story in such a way would definitely help empower others to do the same. Stay tuned for more as other details come out.
