Amanda Bynes, former Nickelodeon star, who was placed in conservatorship in 2013 at the age of 27 has now opened a new Instagram account where she has spoken out about it thanking her fans for all of their support and announcing that she has now filed to end both the conservatorship of her estate and the conservatorship of her person, meaning Amanda if the court deems her fit, would now be in full control of her own life again.
There is a big difference between her case and the case of Britney Spears, for one thing not as much money as at stake, for another, she has her parents’ full support in this venture.
Amanda Bynes Opens Up After Filing To End Conservatorship
Unlike Lynne Spears, Lynn Bynes, Amanda’s Mother who is her current conservator, is 100% for Amanda getting back control of her life. It would seem that her father is on the same page as well. No pesky little sister to come in and write a book telling lies on Amanda though and for that we’re glad, although, with the kind of press Amanda was getting back in the day one doesn’t necessarily need a jealous sibling to get a bad rap with the media.
Then again for a while there she wasn’t really doing anything for her own reputation, allegedly she started a fire in an elderly woman’s driveway and that was the erratic behavior that got her placed in an involuntary psych hold and eventually ended her up in a conservatorship.
But now it looks like this could be ending. We’ll just be watching social media to see what she posts on the new Instagram. Though since Britney’s IG was so scrutinized when she was trying to end her own conservatorship perhaps Amanda could take a few lessons from that and maybe not do quite the same things.
Although Amanda is coming from a very different set of circumstances than Britney is, it sounds like she actually has a supportive, somewhat healthy family, and let’s face it, Amanda doesn’t have any young kids that are looking at her to be an example.
