Talk show host Wendy Williams did not hold back on her condemnation for Wells Fargo, the financial advisor that has been at the heart of her financial troubles of late.
Wendy Williams Outraged That She Cannot Access Her Money After Claims She Is Of Unsound Mind-She Has ‘Defaulted …On Several Billing And Financial Obligations’
Wendy, for her part, had been prevented from accessing her money on the grounds that her mental health was not in a good place. So much so that the banks had reportedly frozen her accounts, citing that she needs a guardian.
Wells Fargo, in response, claimed that it made the decision following claims by financial adviser Lori Schiller that Wendy was of ‘unsound mind.’
Although that may be the case, the very fact of the matter is that Wendy feels she is capable of making her own decisions with a sound mind. In response, Wendy has claimed that Fargo’s actions are that of a ‘disgruntled employee.’
In her official court documents, Wendy is alleged to have said the following: “For more than two weeks, Wells Fargo has repeatedly denied my requests to access my financial assets, which total over several million dollars.
“I have submitted multiple written requests to Wells Fargo and I have visited various Wells Fargo branches in the South Florida area in an effort to resolve this matter outside of the courtroom.”
The consequences of this have been severe. Wendy expanded on how she was not able to meet the day-to-day running costs of a household, to the point where she had to default on so many occasions.
This is the last thing that she needs when she is facing a battle over the control of her finances. She added: “[I] have defaulted … on several billing and financial obligations, including, but not limited to, mortgage payments and employee payroll.”
And yet, there is no denying that Wendy does have some health issues. After all, she has apparently not been hosting her talk show since July 2021.
Irrespective of her health problems, it is ultimately a choice that Wendy should be able to make. She brought in the money, so she is in the best place to decide what to do with it.
