Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been praised for staying and defending his country against Russian aggression to the point where fans are wanting a movie about him.

The talk on social media immediately turned its attention towards actor Jeremy Renner. Jeremy and the Ukrainian President, as shown by the pictures here, seem to have a similar resemblance which fans picked up on.
So much so that they have demanded that Jeremy play that Ukrainian President in the movie, which was also partly based on the former’s role as a member of a superhero movie, as shown by the Avengers.
In a post on Twitter, one fan shared a picture of the two side-by-side. The post was captioned by the following comments: “So y’all think Jeremy Renner has already signed on for it or is still negotiating? Because come on.”
Just as there was enthusiasm for Jeremy to take on such a role, there is no denying that the current crisis is more serious than a simple movie.
Numerous people have died, as well as, having been displaced to other neighboring countries after fleeing the conflict.
And that is the bigger picture to bear in mind irrespective of whether or not you agree with what the Ukrainian President has said or done. And this was also reflected in the social media comments that followed.
A certain subset of people felt it was very disrespectful to be talking about potential movies when civilians could be dying as we speak. Therefore, it was more important to remember and show solidarity to those who were going through troubling times.
One person wrote: “Ukrainians are losing their lives and having their homes/businesses destroyed and we really have people tweeting “Jeremy Renner should play Zelensky in the movie about this!!”
“That’s the most pathetic and tasteless thing you could possibly be thinking about right now.” The most important thing is that this conflict is brought to an end as soon as possible in order to prevent further loss of life.
