As we head into this year’s Winter Olympics, 2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers expected to hear about Nathan Chen looking to redeem his 2018 Olympics figure skating performance.

In Pyeongchang he suffered a disastrous short program but he managed to rebound to help the US win bronze in the team competition. Instead, he’s focusing on enjoying himself and taking it all in.

2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers: Nathan Chen Looks To Enjoy Himself

It’s a great mindset and shows his maturity now that he’s 22 years old, and we’re sure he’s ready for what’s to come.

In 2018, he looked tight and may have felt the pressure he and everyone else put on himself, and that could’ve led to his falls. There have been professional wrestling types of promos on television hyping Nathan, but it’s nowhere near as prevalent as 2018 and that could be a good thing.

We all respond better to situations when we’re relaxed, and to get her all he had to do was forget what happened.

2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers: Turning The Page

2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers often hear one of the secrets to succeeding in sports is to have a short memory. It’s important to learn from those experiences but also how to move on from it, and Nathan looks like he’s mastered it.

Nathan talked about how regret led to his new outlook in a recent interview, and we want to thank usatoday.com for the following transcripts.

“If you’re talking about regret, I think just the fact that I wasn’t able to enjoy it. I was a kid, not really knowing exactly what the Olympics was. I didn’t have fun with it.”

He then added that he doesn’t remember much about his Olympics experience in 2018 and credited having a bad memory, but those he does remember are his favorites.

2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers: Savor The Moment

This time, he wants to savor every bit of his experiences despite the COVID-19 restrictions in place that’ll limit how much sightseeing he’ll be able to do.

“Coming here, regardless of how I skate, I want to be able to look back and be like ‘That was a really cool experience,” Nathan said to USA Today.

While his approach will be great for the memories and should allow him to perform better, it’s also going to give plenty of opportunity to his detractors should he suffer a similar performance as 2018.

Most of those concerns and questions will be put to rest the night before the Opening Ceremony, and 2022 Winter Olympics Spoilers can’t wait to see how he and the other athletes perform.
