A woman who initially accused singer Bob Dylan of sexual assault has expanded on her initial claim by changing the timeline of events.

For the purposes of safety, the woman has remained anonymous. According to reports, the 68-year-old claimed that the abuse had occurred in 1965 over ‘several months’ rather than the initial ‘six weeks’ claimed.
And as part of her lawsuit against him, this had occurred at the Chelsea Hotel when she was just 12-years-old. It is suggested that Bob had “befriended and established an emotional connection with the plaintiff.”
Although these claims are very groundbreaking indeed, Bob has denied doing anything of the sort. In fact, he went on to suggest that these claims had been entirely made up which would only be explained by virtue of somebody looking for financial gain.
In an official statement given on behalf of the musician, his representative said: “The amended complaint recycles the same fabricated claims as the original complaint filed in August.
“They were as false then as they are now. We will pursue all legal options.” With both sides remaining in deadlock over who is telling the truth, it is safe to say that this case is going to drag out for some time. And so it showed.
The woman has stated that the trauma from all of this has resulted in her being “emotionally scarred and psychologically damaged to this day.”
With that in mind, a lot of people had something to say on the matter. A certain subset of people felt that this was part of the wider problem with abuse in the entertainment industry, which has plagued some of the biggest stars in the world.
That is why there was a need for mass reform and safeguards in place to protect people who had unwittingly been taken advantage of. Meanwhile, others stressed that the allegations should have been put forward earlier.
One person wrote: “Why would someone wait 60 YEARS to accuse someone of sexual abuse? There needs to be a time limit on these accusations!”
