Once upon a time pre December 2021, Big (Chris Noth) and Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) were supposed to have a sort of reunion on the bridge over the river Seine as she scattered his ashes, because apparently that’s what Big’s final wishes were. But post Dec. 16th 2021, things look a lot different.

There were minimal scenes shot for the season finale which airs on February 3rd, but at the time this finale was not really locked in. Meaning, things could still go either way, as far as shooting goes. So the editors looked at the scenes that were shot between Carrie and Big and decided that ultimately, the story was fine without them.

And just like that… no more Chis Noth

Meaning that from now until the end if the season, the role of Mr. Big AKA John James Preston, will be played by a cardboard box and nothing more. We won’t see Chris Noth reprise his role, not even one more time. In the wake of the allegations against him, it makes sense.

Several women came forward and outright accused him of raping them and the victims’ voices have finally been heard. Noth will not be reprising his role as Big, nor will he be returning to CBS’s “The Equalizer” and his management has also dropped him. While the actor maintains his innocence and says that no always means no and there are lines that he just does not cross, the side eye is automatically cast on him.

It took a lot of courage for these women to come forward after all these years, because so many wouldn’t have. There was a time in the not too distant past in which the women would have been discredited and Noth exonerated, but thankfully not this time.

While we are definitely curious about what scenes that were shot between Carrie and Big and what sort of reunion they would have had, it’s actually more realistic this way. Because once a loved one is gone, they don’t get to come back in some cinematic goodbye. They are simply gone and we’re left with the memories. We’re curious about how the rest of the season will go, we have to admit. Stay tuned!!!
