This revelation is bound to be significant when we look at what Aaron has been through of late. His Covid-19 comments in which he suggested that he was ‘immunised’ against Covid received a huge amount of backlash as the initial assumption was that he had been vaccinated.
However, when it turned out to be anything but the case, the NFL star had to clarify his comments publicly in order to avoid significant media scrutiny.
Much in the same way, Shailene had to stand by and watch her lover being scrutinised. That is why it probably makes sense that they avoid political issues during their downtime.
A source said: “They are not talking about their politics, and they never really have. They disagreed on a lot of things. Early on, they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them.
“She is not someone whose mind you can change, so Aaron hasn’t even tried.” It is clear that the pair are very dogmatic in their beliefs.
While that has the advantage of standing your ground, it can equally lead to an argument if it results in a heavy discussion between the pair. But as for the present, it looks as though the duo are trying to keep any discussion in that regard in the public arena instead.
This was most notably seen when Aaron hit back at the critics that came out and demanded that he be canceled as a result of his statements on Covid.
Unlike Shailene, who he cannot seem to sway, he did everything in his power to make sure that his reputation was kept intact following the vaccination saga. In a statement of the time, Aaron remarked: “It was a witch hunt that was going on across the league.
“Everybody in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn’t and what that meant and who was being selfish and who would talk about it.”
