Recently it was discovered that Brian Laundrie, boyfriend of Gabby Petito, who went missing in August and was later found murdered in September just five weeks after she went missing, had $20-$75K in assets that his family, Roberta and Chris Laundrie, are trying to claim.
However, an excellent question about these assets is how did he acquire them? Because as far as we know, at the time of the murder, Brian was not working and he and Gabby had been living on the road for awhile in their van during a pandemic.
Should Brian Laundrie’s assets go to the family of Gabby Petito?
It was stated that Gabby had worked previously and saved up all of her money in order to be able to do this van life dream of hers, and Brian has held jobs before, but at the time that they were traveling together, Brian was not working and Gabby was investing all of her time into their social media as van life influencers, a life that Brian didn’t even belive in according to quite a few sources… so, since Brian had this much money, was Gabby’s social media venture more successful than Brian initially thought and he just benefitted from the proceeds?
Or was he just extremely good with money beforehand. It would seem that Brian Laundrie himself is full of contradictions, according to her friends he didn’t believe in this van life venture but if it was becoming successful would he have been content to profit off it anyway?
The numbers beg the question. Also, they had initially said that Brian Laundrie went back to Florida in order to move stuff out of storage and save money, but if he had that much money in the bank already it just seems counterintuitive to use that money to buy a plane ticket just to move stuff out of storage that would have only costed him roughly 10% of the plane ticket itself.
The theory has been floated around that this could have been done to hide the murder weapon used in the Moab Murders (which some have connected Brian to, even though nothing has been proven and authorities have said that there is no connection but cannot prove that) and then go back and meet Gabby. If that be the case, then did Gabby Petito know too much and could that have been the reason why she died?
People are now saying that whatever assets Brian Laundrie has should go to Gabby’s family, but as of yet, we don’t know how that would be proven in a court of law, if it could even be proven at all. But we’ll see where this lands. Stay tuned!!!
