‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ “friend of”, Kathy Hilton has finally committed to resuming filming for season 12 of the Bravo reality season after wage negotiations seem to have landed in the fan-favorites favor.
Hilton made her debut during season 11 of RHOBH and was an instant hit with her eccentric, hilarious, and completely out of touch with reality yet strangely relatable ways. Fans were dismayed to hear that Hilton was on the fence about coming back.
‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: Kathy Hilton Returns For Season 12 After Wage Negotiations Settle
While Hilton’s sister, regular cast-member Kyle Richards said Hilton wasn’t filming as she was helping to plan her daughter, Paris Hilton’s wedding, which took place in November, it was quickly revealed that Hilton was demanding Bravo pay her more money, believing they were short-changing her.
Now, after months of negotiations regarding her contract, Kathy has confirmed she will resume filming with Richards and the other regular housewives, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, Lisa Rinna, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, and Krystal Kung- Minkoff after the Christmas/New Year holidays.
It was rumored that actress and ex-Scientologist, Leah Remini was in talks to join the RHOBH cast, but alas, this turned out to be just that, rumors.
No word has been uttered as to what pay rise Hilton managed to negotiate into her contract. One thing we do know, Hilton with her TV dinner trays absolutely knows her worth
Season 12 has been filming since at least October, perhaps even earlier as producers wanted to continue to cash in on the interest surrounding the lawsuits Jayne is STILL embroiled in. The cameras were also rolling in the aftermath of Kemsely’s home invasion and for her husband, Paul ‘P.K’ Kemsley’s DUI. The loss of Rinna’s mother will also be a part of season 12, as will the Covid infections of Beavais, Rinna, and Jayne which recently shut down production momentarily.
With all this drama and darkness, viewers definitely need Hilton back; wondering who Hunky Dory is, eye-dropping with ear drops, and chugging back Red Bulls in bed at 1 am- even if it is only for half a season!
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to return to Bravo this Spring.
