Abby Shapiro, who happens to be the sister of none other than conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, has been accused of mocking Madonna by comparing her to Nancy Reagan.
Ben Shapiro’s Sister Abby Shapiro Slammed After Being Accused Of ‘Slut-Shaming Madonna’
Abby’s tweet was in response to a recent photoshoot of Madonna, as she was wearing some revealing clothing while sitting on her bed.
This had already caused controversy when American rapper 50 Cent decided to come out and brand Madonna as the ‘Wicked Witch Of The East.’ Although he did apologise for his comments, Madonna did not accept the apology as being one that was sincere.
Much in the same way, Abby has now increased the prospect of backlash from Madonna by comparing Nancy to Madonna’s image during their time at the same age.
In the picture here, we can see Madonna’s picture of her lying on a bed being placed alongside a photo of Nancy with her family. The post was captioned by the following comments: “This is Madonna at 63. This is Nancy Reagan at 64.
“Trashy living vs. Classic living. Which version of yourself do you want to be?” This comment instantly instigated a huge reaction on social media with people being divided as to whether or not these comments were justified.
After all, Madonna had accused 50 Cent of making ‘misogynist’ comments towards her. As such, there was a feeling that these sentiments expressed by Abby could be viewed in the same way.
One person on Twitter wrote: “While you’re over here slut-shaming Madonna, did you Nancy Reagan was referred to as Hollywood’s blowjob queen during her time as an actress? Even her biographer talks about it.”
Clearly, it is clear that her tweet has ended up back firing. As of now, she has not responded to these comments but it is obvious that she has ended up offending a large proportion of people.
Another user remarked: “I bet abby shapiro is absolutely FURIOUS that her attempt to slutshame madonna resulted in everyone turning around and talking about nancy reagan’s sex skills.”
