Houston Fire Chief Sam Pena says that when people in the audience passed out from suffocating, others panicked, and the situation became even worse. One woman climbed onto a platform where a camera operator was and told him that people were being crushed and were dying and that the show needed to stop.
Travis Scott Is On His Way To Getting Canceled
At least eight people were killed, ranging in age from 14 to 27, and dozens more were injured. Of the 25 people who were taken to hospitals, 13 remained hospitalized Saturday, and five of the injured are under 18.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for his critics and detractors to take to social media to weigh in on the matter. Many of them commented with, “This is horrific and senseless and sad. Another tragic example of blind greed causing people in positions of authority to ignore the need to hire people who know what the hell they’re doing and pay them accordingly. Apparently they hired any warm body as security and medics and those people had no idea what to do when all hell broke loose. People rushed right past security and later when attendees needed first aid, the medics didn’t even know CPR.”
Another critic wrote, “How many things are wrong with this story…. Glad to see receipts are being posted left and right. He’s a dumb ass no-talent auto tuned angry motherfu**er riding on the coat tails of this hideous family who continues to appropriate other cultures and sell bullshit to little kids. I feel for the people who were so brainwashed to think it was worth paying a hard earned dollar to see his punk. And I feel for those who lost their lives. I can only hope they rest in peace and their families sue to shit out of these jerks.”
And then there was this: “So is this Travis guy actually a legitimate and successful singer? I figured anyone the Kartrashian’s associated with were grifters and frauds. Who are his fans? What is their age? So bizarre to me that there are humans who would flock to a concert organized by a kartrashian affiliated person. I guess we now know a lot of the fans are trash people with no regard for human life. None of this surprises me considering the company he keeps. Money is the only thing that matters to this Klan and their fans.”
