Just as the new season of Sister Wives has started, there have been many rumors floating around about the Browns and their marriages. On Tuesday, on Instagram, Christine Brown posted that she and her husband, Kody Brown had split up for good.
She wrote to her fans, “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have made the difficult decision to leave. We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”

Of course, Kody was quick to share what he was going through as well. He doesn’t post regularly on social media, but took the time to post on Instagram as well. He wrote, “Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.” Christine and Kody have six children together, Paedon, 23, Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Gwedlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.

Christine and Kody were married spiritually back in 1994. She is the third wife of Kody and she joined Meri Brown and Janelle Brown, then they welcomed Robyn Brown back in 2010. From the trailers of the new season, we have seen Christine comment about Kody’s marriage to Robyn.
She told cameras, “Why would I want to live on the same property with a dysfunctional marriage where right over there, he’s got a full-functioning marriage with her? Who would ever want to live like that?” She has constantly mentioned that her marriage has “been a struggle” and we saw a lot of this last season. She and Meri were constantly talking about just how much they wanted to move back to Utah and start over.
It seems that Christine is now moving on from Kody and many fans knew something was up when she bought a new home in Utah. Does this mean that the other wives will follow her and leave Kody? Will Meri be next?
There are many questions that we have for Christine, but we will all respect her wishes to give her space and time to heal. This cannot be an easy time for anyone involved.
