Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ season two is right around the corner with much hype and discussion behind it. Star Henry Cavill is the talk of the town, and fans want to see as much of him as Geralt of Rivia as possible. As it turns out, the producers behind the show have a long plan in the back of their minds.

Lauren Hissrich has a very long-term plan, and Cavill is 100% committed to making it happen. Back in 2019, Hissrich said she had a seven-season plan for the show. While it may have seemed like a dream back then, with the success of the show, it’s easy now to see how this would be possible.

Cavill told The Hollywood Reporter that we would ‘absolutely do seven seasons,

“Absolutely, as long as we can keep telling great stories which honor [Witcher author Andrzej] Sapkowski’s work.”

The only issue that there maybe is how busy Cavill is. He’s been starring in a ton of films, and just signed on to star in a reboot of ‘Highlander’. He’ll play Sherlock Holmes in a sequel to Netflix’s film ‘Enola Holmes’ and will lead a cast in the upcoming spy thriller ‘Argylle’. In the midst of all of this, Cavill has also opened the idea of portraying a superhero for Marvel. Cavill spoke about the idea of playing Captain Britian,

“I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that—like the way they modernized Captain America.”

Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ season 2 is set to release on December 17th and will feature many more characters from the novels! With this much steam pumping behind the series, we hope that we will be able to see a full seven seasons. Something this good deserves more.
