Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s ‘Young Rock’ on NBC had a very successful opening season and it’s been greenlighted for the second. It already has a release date, as Johnson shared the news on his Instagram page. He shared a few photos of the show and told viewers to, “Mark your calendars 📆 as we are pumped to bring you another @sevenbucksprod to your living rooms on NBC ~ YOUNG ROCK 🌺💪🏾 Our SEASON 2 returns MARCH 15!!!”

In the first season, we saw Johnson at different ages of his childhood and young adult life, from his first car to being accepted to college. It was filled with laughs and funny stories and hit with fans everywhere. The casting in particular I thought was very good. Not just for Johnson himself, but the legendary wrestlers they brought to life. Take a look at the post below.

Johnson continued in the post by talking about how he lived in some crazy places growing up and he is grateful for the way it worked out.

“I’ve lived the most f*cking wild, unpredictable and grateful life ~ so it’ll never not be surreal to me and my family to see my childhood and formative years play out in this heartfelt and mana fueled series.“

The first season was highly anticipated and has sat well with fans. Hopefully, they won’t have too high of expectations for the second season. Hopefully, they’ll continue doing what made the first season so successful and if I were them, I wouldn’t do the whole “The Rock is running for President interview, thing”… I didn’t care much for that aspect, just tell us the story.

NBC’s ‘Young Rock’ season two will premiere on March 15th.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and are you looking forward to the second season? Let us know in the comments below.
