‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) story has finally come out. However, it’s not exactly as we had thought. I had assumed he took the identity of a dead man but I did not think it would be his friend.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) returned to Genoa City to tell his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) the truth about Ashland, though as it turns out, she’s more upset with her brother for digging for the truth than she was with Ashland…
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) True Story Comes Out!
Ashland’s story (supposedly) is that he only had one friend, and together they got matching tattoos (insert joke here). However, one night while out driving around, his friend was driving too fast and they were in an accident. Ashland was flung from the car while his friend died inside. He swapped wallets with his friend and ran into the woods.
Supposedly, the cops found Bobby DeFranco’s (Ashland’s) wallet with his I.D. and his father confirmed it was his remains based on the tattoo on his calf.
So, Ashland watched his friend die… took his wallet and identification to avoid the wrath of his father and fled into the woods only to go to an interview with the woman who would become his mentor. Sounds like some of the shadiest crap I’ve ever heard.
However, it seems Victoria bought the story, and now she’s upset with both of them. Ashland for lying and Nick for going against her wishes. Though, it seems like they found a way for Ashland to be able to stay in Genoa City because of the fan support he’s received.
