Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes have shockingly called it quits after being engaged for only around three months.
‘The Bachelorette’: Katie Thurston And Blake Moynes SPLIT UP After Just Being Engaged For Around Three Months
The pair, who met each other on The Bachelorette, have dropped the news out of the blue. After having gotten engaged, there were talks over the duo getting involved in animal conservation projects together due to their shared passion.
But now that is all off the table, as the two simply were not compatible. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Katie shared a picture of herself and Blake smiling as they sat next to each other.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways.
“We ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently.”
This begs the question, why did the two decide to call things off? Well, on closer inspection, there were a few reasons why this may have been the case. First of all, there were going to be logistical issues.
Katie is American, meanwhile, Blake is a Canadian national. Naturally, one of them would have to leave their family behind in order to settle down. And with that, there were a whole host of visa rules to contend with.
Secondly, given that Blake is so passionate about wildlife conservation, Katie has spoken previously about being lonely over the fact that Blake is often away from home.
And that time apart made Katie question whether she was willing to make the sacrifices needed to make their relationship work. In a prior interview, she remarked: “We’re figuring it out. We don’t know.
“This is very new to us still. I’m just focusing on myself. He’s focusing on him, and if we work doing that, great.” Katie and Blake can have no complaints about how things ended.
After all, these problems were visible before they had gotten together. Sadly, this is another case of a Bachelorette relationship that has gone sour.
