Who to believe here? Harvey Weinstein is calling out Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, saying that her accusations against him are “brazenly untrue.” Angelina said in an interview with The Guardian that she had to escape an encounter with the convicted rapist. Here’s what you need to know.

In her interview, Angelina described her alleged prior experience with him as “beyond a pass” while promoting her upcoming book, “Know Your Tights.” She said that she was 21 during her encounter with Weinstein, and that she told her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, about it.
“I stayed away and warned people about him. I remember telling Jonny, my first husband, who was great about it, to spread the word to other guys — don’t let girls go alone with him,” Angie said.
Angelina also added that she was asked to do 2004’s “The Aviator” but said no because Weinstein was involved. Yet, Weinstein is now hitting back, saying that the supposed encounter never happened. He responded via a statement to TMZ from his publicist.
“THERE WAS NEVER an assault, and NEVER an attempt to assault,” Weinstein said, adding, “It is brazenly untrue and clickbait publicity. You’re Angelina Jolie, every male and female in the world, I’m sure, shows interest in you. Is the whole world assaulting you?”
Angelina also claims that she fought with her ex-husband Brad Pitt about him working with Weinstein on two of his films. However, Brad’s other ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, says that Brad did get involved after Weinstin allegedly invited her back to his hotel room when she was just 22-years-old. Brad allegedly confronted Weinstein at a movie premiere and physically threatened the producer which, at the time, was a huge risk for the up and coming actor.
