Whelp, it looks like CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers nailed it as today we’re going to have our weekly climactic episode as Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi) comes clean with the Newmans.

While his history will endear him to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), it’ll shatter Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s confidence as his instinct told him it was something more.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 15: Ashland’s story

Ashland’s going to share his past of an abusive father and leaving home when he was sixteen with the Newmans and Billy.

Victor will feel an instant kinship as will the rest of the Newmans, as well as a sense of relief it’s nothing dangerous.

This will also prompt Victor to give Billy some grief for digging into Ashland’s paste despite doing it himself.

To be honest, none of this surprises us since the show loves to drum up angst for something that’s a average and overused storyline.

Of course, there’s the possibility there’s something more to come but ‘Young and the Restless’ expects it to be more along the lines of someone from his past like a brother or family member that wants something.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For September 15: Lily tries to reassure Billy

After the news breaks, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will try to help Billy reconsider his decision to quit Chance Comm because he feels he failed them.

His confidence will be shaken and the beating down he probably took from Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

This will probably lead to a downward spiral for him Victor and others have been saying will happen at some point. So, chances are we’re going to have the old Billy back.

Of all the recycled storylines, this is one we hope they don’t really use but given how the writing’s been suspect for a while it seems likely.

Although there is always the possibility that Lily will manage to pull Billy out of his upcoming nosedive. She could play on his pride that by giving up he gives Victor a win, but that’ll be a long shot.

This will also make the lazy writing and avoiding confrontation in storylines look like it’ll pay off in a roundabout way.

Do you think there’s more to Ashland’s past that we don’t know yet, or is everything now out in the open?

Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
