Monday, July 5th, Britney Spears’ manager resigned, stating that since he had heard that Britney wanted to retire from showbusiness that there was no need for him on the team. Bessemer Trust dipped out last week upon hearing that Britney was not in control of the conservatorship at all and that it wasn’t actually her choice to have them aboard.
Today, we get word that Samuel Ignham, her court-appointed lawyer has filed a petition in order to be removed as Britney’s legal counsel. According to sources, Samuel Ingham is very upset because of what Britney said in court, about how she was not informed of her legal options to petition the court to have the conservatorship ended.
And then there was one – Britney’s team drops like flies
It looks like in the ultimate of all petty moves he’s leaving her high and dry by not actually filing the petition to end the conservatorship, in which case, can Britney file the papers herself? I would think that she could, unless her conservatorship prevents that too, which I wouldn’t be surprised about but if Ingham isn’t helping her file them, then who’s going to?
The papers are done, all they need to do is be filed. According to her conservatorship, Britney’s allowance is $2K a week, no matter how much she earns, dont’ tell me the filing fees would be over that amount. I mean, it might would vary according to the value of the estate but come on. Would that still apply if the person in question is still alive and kicking?
Also, psst, pro-bono law students, right now would be a perfect time to volunteer services to advocate for Britney, that way you’d get a big case straight out of the gate and you’d be the one who helped free Britney Spears, who wouldn’t want that?
I’m sure the court will find some bumbling dunderhead to represent her because it seems that Britney’s not allowed to get her own lawyer, but that should change and she should be allowed to talk to lawyers and scout them out. She’s an adult, not a minor, and she can clearly advocate for herself.
Funnily enough, the one who isn’t resigning is one Jodi Montgomery, who signed on as personal conservator in 2018 when her Dad loosened the reigns just a bit because he was going through medical issues at the time. Jodi isn’t budging and so far Britney, even though she has stated that she definitely has issues with Jodi, has not actually asked for her to be removed… yet.
Though Britney’s Dad says that Jodi was behind the IUD decision and not him, however Jodi has said that Britney’s conservatorship doesn’t really state whether or not she can have kids or get married or not – so who’s the big liar here? We’ll keep you updated on the latest developments. Stay tuned!!!
