Chris Harrison may have left the Bachelor franchise for good, but that does not mean that he wants to hang up his boots as he has chosen to focus on his family.

The host decided to walk away following the Rachael Kirkconnell scandal after his comments were deemed to be defending racism. While there was the expectation that he would eventually come back after a momentary period away, he confirmed his permanent exit with a huge payout, much to the dismay of fans.
It is true to say that Chris will not be short of any opportunities, but family is something that he cherishes. This has been made clear to him ever since the pandemic as it has allowed him to spend more time with his two children: Joshua and Taylor.
Sources confirmed as much: “He’s really enjoying this time with his kids…He lives a low-key life in Texas when he’s not taking trips or going on vacation.” Chris’ kids are not the only thing keeping him busy. He is currently in a relationship with Lauren Zima.
The duo began dating each other in 2018, and things could not be going any better in that regard. And there have been rumours that Chris may end up walking down the aisle with Lauren.
After all, she showed just how dedicated she was to him as she stood by him during the Bachelor scandal when others decided to throw him under the bus.
The source added: “He’s soaking in these moments of not working and taking time for himself and his family. He celebrated his 50th birthday last month and recently celebrated his anniversary with Lauren. He sees this time as almost a new chapter of his life.” That is not to say that Chris does not keep an eye on the Bachelor series. Far from it. He was a popular figure on the show and has been on hand to offer any advice should the crew require it.
The source continued: “He still keeps in touch with some crew, and former Bachelor and Bachelorette cast members.” It will be fascinating to see what Chris will do next.
