Now that he’s a resident of California, surely he’s got a lot to say about what’s going on in the United States, right? Well, that’s what a lot of critics have been pointing out as Prince Harry is once again being slammed for ignoring President Joe Biden’s controversial actions in regards to the situation in Afghanistan. Here’s what you need to know.
Critics on both the left and the right have been slamming Biden for “completely surrendering to the Taliban” in what a lot of people are calling an “embarrassing failure.” The Taliban moved into several cities in the country in recent weeks, culminating in the takeover of the capital city of Kabul last weekend.
Prince Harry Slammed For Ignoring President Joe Biden’s Controversial Actions
In Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s statement about the situation, they mentioned the situation, but didn’t say anything about Biden’s controversial decision to pull out so quickly, leaving the country in despair.
“The world is exceptionally fragile right now. As we all feel the many layers of pain due to the situation in Afghanistan, we are left speechless,” Harry and Meghan said in their statement.
“As an international community, it is the decisions we make now — to alleviate suffering among those we know and those we may never meet — that will prove our humanity,” the statement concluded.
Royal author and critic Phil Dampier blasted the Sussexes by writing on Twitter: “Has Prince Harry said anything about Biden’s decision to cut and run in Afghanistan? Unlike most of his pontifications I would actually value his opinion as he served as a soldier there.”
Others commented with, “Harry is also walking on thin ice in America as well. His shoes are in the freezer when it comes to foreign policy especially when your not in your own country,” along with, “If he was in UK he would have said nothing like his relatives. They are trapped. Has any of them shown any humanity to the people of Afghanistan or Haiti?”
