You can’t win them all over, now can you? There’s a new report that suggests for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, this is a hard pill to swallow. Apparently, it’s going to take years for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to get over the fact that they weren’t invited to former President Barack Obama’s birthday party at his private estate in Martha’s Vineyard in early August. According to British Royal Family expert and author Angelina Levin, Meghan Markle “desperately wanted” to attend Obama’s birthday, but it didn’t happen. “I am told that despite claiming she was unable to attend, Meghan desperately wanted to be the special guest at the Obamas’ amazing party,” Levin explained, adding that while the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Obamas to limit guests to a 475-person headcount, “Harry and Meghan were never even on the original list.”
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Having A Hard Time Getting Over This Celebrity Snub
Apparently, one of the reasons why Harry and Meghan perhaps didn’t get that coveted invite is because Obama and his wife Michelle Obama didn’t like how the Sussex’s interview with Oprah went down. That’s because they are two people who always put their family first, no matter what.
TalkRADIO host Mike Graham said: “Of course we know they don’t really have any friends and the only friends they do have or that they count as friends are all the people who got invited to Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party. But they didn’t.”
Levin also suggested that the Obamas might have snubbed the Sussexes last week because they want to show their allegiance with Queen Elizabeth.
Speaking to The Sun in a separate interview, Angela put it this way, “I’m sure that if they say we can only deal with one brother and his wife — you cannot have both because they are so far apart now — they will go towards William. The Obamas clearly always regarded Harry highly, but I am sure they can see through Meghan. They may stay around, but they won’t be as pally as they once were.”
