Piers Morgan is taking time out of his busy full-time schedule of hating on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to hate on a new group of people: those who choose not to get vaccinated against Covid-19. The controversial television personality, who himself got Covid-19 even though he was fully-vaccinated, shared his thoughts on the matter on Twitter. Here’s what he has to say.
Piers – who still doesn’t have a job on television after he was ousted from Good Morning Britain earlier this year – wrote this: “Anti-vaxxers don’t only hurt themselves – they will transmit the virus to others, and prolong the pandemic which hurts everybody. It’s selfish as well as stupid.”
Piers Morgan Has A Message For Anti-Vaxxers
Just last month, Piers admitted to the Mail on Sunday that he contracted Covid-19 despite being double jabbed. He got sick right after the Euro 2020 match, in which England lost against Italy. In a Twitter post, he said it’s been a long ten days for him, as he hasn’t felt this bad in a very long time.
He wrote, “Yes, it’s certainly been one of the more interesting (and unnerving…) experiences of my life, but it gave my a new perspective on covid, vaccines & where we are. My confidence that the event would be ‘covid safe’ had disintegrated. It was turning into an unregulated free-for-all.”
Piers added that he began to feel ill two days after the match. He also said that the coronavirus is “definitely the roughest I’ve felt from any illness in my adult life.”
He continued, “As I’m sure everyone who gets it feels, it’s a strange, disquieting moment to know I have this killer virus inside me. I’m still here – unlike so many millions around the world who’ve lost their lives to Covid in this pandemic. For that, I owe a heartfelt debt of thanks to the brilliant scientists up in Oxford who created the Astra-Zeneca vaccine with such astonishing speed.”
