Justin Timberlake has been left saddened by the death of his backup singer Nicole Hurst.

Nicole, for her part, was taken well before her time because she was only 39-years-old at the time of her death. And yet, looking back, things were looking very ominous for health. She was diagnosed initially with breast cancer when she was 31. After receiving some of the best medical care, she was able to fight it off until she was diagnosed once again.
In an interview with ABC at the time, she said: “I was diagnosed with Stage 2 triple-positive breast cancer. I think one of my first thoughts was, am I going to die…Even while I was on chemotherapy, my tumour doubled in size.” With the writing on the wall, Nicole was unable to continue fighting.
But she left behind many good memories and none more so than with Justin. They had a friendship stretching back for a prolonged period, and he made sure that she was honoured in the best possible way. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Justin shared a series of videos and photos of him with Nicole.
They are having a wonderful time together on stage in front of a sell-out audience. The post was captioned by the following comments: “My heart is so heavy. We lost a beautiful soul this week. Nicole lit up every room she walked into. On and off the stage, she was a constant source of joy and positivity. Some things feel so unfair, and we will never understand why they happen.”
Despite the sadness, Justin chose to see the happiness that she had created. They had gone on many tours together, and she had a good relationship with Justin’s family having met them on several occasions. Although she may no longer be here, Justin will continue to remember her through his music.
His following comments confirmed as much: “Nicole, it’s not enough to say that I am going to miss you dearly. Thank you for your light. I will do my best to carry that with me. I love you, my sister. Forever family and forever a TN Kid.”
