Hugh Jackman Undergoes Tests For Skin Cancer-What Happened?

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman has given his fans an update on his health, with fears that he may have skin cancer.

Hugh Jackman Undergoes Tests For Skin Cancer-What Happened?

The actor, who is best known for playing Wolverine in the X-men franchise, was first diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma in 2013. This is a condition where there can be sores or inflammation that cause the skin to flare up, which is what Hugh had experienced on his nose.

Despite getting treatment for it over the years and seemingly over the worst bit, it seems it may have come back. He admitted that he had gotten a test for it, and the results that came back were not conclusive enough to make a diagnosis. Therefore, further tests would be required to determine the nature of the cause.

But Basal Cell Carcinoma has been touted as a high possibility. And with that news, Hugh sought to reassure his fans so that they did not worry. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Hugh posted a video explaining how he was holding up.

The post was captioned by the following comments: “Update on my biopsy: It’s comeback inconclusive…So when I’m done filming, I’ll have it rechecked. Thank you all for so much support. I’m seeing your comments and stories. If by posting about this I remind one person to go see their dermatologist – I’m happy.” Given that this condition can impact people from all walks of life, regardless of their health, it was a major cause of concern for Hugh.

That is why he has urged his fans, who are keen on enjoying the sunshine, to wear sunscreen in order to protect themselves from suffering a similar thing. Although Hugh may turn out to be fine in the end, that is not always the case. With that in mind, he urged his supporters to be cautious.

In another post on his social media, Hugh posted a video of himself following a check-up. The video was captioned by the following: “Couple of notes … please get skin checks often, please don’t think it won’t happen to you.” Let us hope that Hugh makes a full recovery, and the fans will be there to support him every step of the way.
