Kristin Cavallari has opened up on how she has managed to get on with her ex-husband Jay Cutler for the benefit of co-parenting their kids.
How Is Kristin Cavallari Coping With Co-Parenting Alongside Jay Cutler?
The couple, for their part, had been married for seven years when they decided to break things off in 2020. During this period, they managed to raise three children together: Camden, Jaxon and Saylor.
While they may no longer be a couple, they have recognised that their children should come first, which has allowed them to put aside their differences for the betterment of everyone involved.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Kristin revealed that things are going well with Jay. She said: “Everyone’s situation is different. I think the most important thing. I learned this from my mom, was to always just never speak badly about the other person. To be as much of a united front as you can be.”
That united front has allowed the children to benefit. Being a child of a famous parent is not the easiest thing in the world. And yet, it can also bring with it some privileges, as Kristin’s kids have gone on to discover.
She added: “Kids at school will say stuff. Like, ‘I follow your mom on Instagram….The middle school kids are the ones that think Jaxon and Camden are really cool because their dad played football. And the girls are like, ‘Your mom!’ It’s pretty funny.” Nevertheless, Kristin recognises that she must take out time and keep them grounded from the limelight.
By giving them a sense of normality, it has allowed her to see her children flourish and develop their own personalities. In a society where the expectations are always high on children, especially when their parents are super successful, this approach has removed any burdens.
And Kristin could not be any happier as a mother. She continued: “They’ve just really blossomed into themselves, and it’s just fun having three kids that are very different. [I love] just seeing their personalities.” It is wonderful to see the duo working well for the benefit of their family. And let us hope that things continue in the same way going forward.
