It’s not very often that you’d see a child Prince George’s age wear a suit out in public, but that’s exactly what the young royal did when he accompanied his father, Prince William, and his mother, Kate Middleton at a Euro2020 match last month.
And while a lot of people can’t help but wonder why the royal couple would have their son wear a stuffy suit in public, apparently, there’s a good reason for it. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, no one had to force little Prince George to wear a suit during the match. Instead, insiders say that he insisted on wearing the suit because he wanted to look just like his father Prince William, who he idolizes very much.
This Is Why Prince George Wore A Suit To Euro 2020
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK! Magazine that Prince George looks up to his father and tells everyone that he is his “hero.”
He said, “William would never have normally taken him to the football because it was an official outing in his role as president of the FA, but George absolutely begged to be allowed to come along. George idolizes his dad. That’s why we saw him looking so smart in his suit – he really wanted to dress like William.”
Larcombe added that George thinks Prince William is the “most perfect person on this planet” and that’s why he wanted to look just like him at the match.
“He’s becoming a pretty big character and has both of his parents eating out of the palm of his hand.”
