‘The Bachelor’: Katie Morton Had Divided Loyalties Following Colton Underwood’s Coming Out Story
Cassie and Colton had been through a lot prior to their split. Cassie had filed a restraining order against Colton on the grounds of stalking. While she would go on to drop it, she refused to comment on Colton’s coming out story as a way to distance herself from it.
And as for Katie, she has been torn by her divided loyalties. In an interview on the ‘Here for the Right Reasons’ podcast, she said: “She’s [Cassie] noticeably moved on. With the news that came out about Colton, I was torn between feeling relieved and happy for him to be free to be himself. And also angry with him for not treating my friend the way she should be treated and for putting her through what she went through.”
There is no denying that Colton has a lot to answer for. He has taken steps to address his issues. He has already come out and made a public apology to Cassie that aired on Good Morning America.
And with that, he admitted that he wanted a chance to sit down with her in order to come clean. While that has not happened yet, Colton has agreed to release a documentary about his story on Netflix. This will, no doubt, offer him the chance to set the record straight.
Although there is a lot of effort on Colton’s part to put things right, Cassie does not seem to be interested. After all, she has moved on with her new flame. And by attempting to address something that happened a long time ago, she is only going to evoke painful memories.
A source confirmed as much: “Cassie hasn’t been paying attention to the news and what is being teased about Colton’s documentary. She hasn’t heard details of what is going to be said…and she’s certainly not going to make any appearances in it.”
It does not look like Colton and Cassie will be reconciling anytime soon. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
