Cassie Randolph’s new relationship with Brighton Reinhardt blossomed, from an initial friendship into a romance, following the former’s split from Colton Underwood.

Cassie’s love life immediately rose to the forefront of the public, given the recent revelations that her ex-boyfriend Colton came out as gay. But in Brighton, she found someone that was there to support her through those difficult moments. A source said: “He’s been a good friend of hers for over five years. He obviously knows what she went through with Colton and just supported her along the way.”
And this was most visible during their recent trip to Mexico. When the story of Colton’s sexuality broke, people immediately thought of Cassie. After all, she was one of the women alongside Tayshia Adams, who had ‘romantically’ been involved with Colton before his public disclosure. Brighton, though, made an impression that turned out to be a positive one.
The source added: “He gets along very well with her family. Right now, they’re still enjoying spending time with one another and just seeing where things go.” This is a massive switch up from the mood surrounding Cassie’s time with Colton. She had been very public about the alleged harassment that she was going through. And it all came to a head when she filed a restraining order against Colton for fear of her safety.
The order would go on to be dropped, but it did leave a bitter taste in the mouth, despite Colton’s denials. This may explain why Cassie decided to distance herself, when Colton dropped his major bombshell. At the time the news broke, Cassie stated: “Regarding the topic in the media that brought my name up this week, I just want to let you know that I’m not going to be further discussing it or commenting on it for now.”
It is great to see Colton and Cassie moving on with their lives. They have been through a lot during the last couple of years, but now may be the time when they finally put those issues to bed. Let us hope that it can stay that way.
