As we all know, Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship due to her “mental health” for 13 years, her primary conservator is her oppressive Father, Jamie Spears. However recently, she gained a win by getting the ability to hire her own lawyer in order to end the conservatorship and right now she has a good one.
Matt Rosengart, a former US Federal Prosecutor, is now working to end Jamie Spears’ days as conservator and to appoint someone else, who is a forensic accountant, to be in charge of Britney’s estate.
You could say that things are on a roll for Britney.
However, before this all of her IG posts were heavily curated by a third party that she had to get them approved by. It was a literal company who went in there and ‘cleaned up’ her IG captions and made them sound like they were written by an 11 year old girl in 1992. (Trust me, if you subscribed to any pre-teen publications in 1992, you will know the vibe I’m talking about.)
However, now Britney is living on IG and posting largely what she wants, with long rambling captions calling out various family members, and even a couple of topless photos, one complete with two well-place twinkles… we see you, Britney.
But one can’t help but wonder if all this will be admissable in court as evidence to keep her in a conservatorship or at least make it to where she will have to be mentally evaluated once if not several times in order to end this ‘circus’, if you will.
A few of her captions have been edited since she hired her own lawyer, but the majority haven’t and she’s been acting like a normal 39 year old woman for the majority of them. But if the conservatorship decides to try and use that against her, it could be damaging… at least temporarily.
However since her statement has come out and so many people are on her side, I think judge Penney is less interested in what the conservatorship has to say and more interested in the actual mental health of Britney Also, there’s the fact that the lawyer that she has hired has actually moved forward and filed the paperwork and not dragged his feet, things are actually moving along for Britney now.
We’ll see if Jamie Spears is removed as head conservator, but we can only hope that soon Britney can live a freely on IG as she wants without the threat of someone using “character” against her. Stay tuned!!!
