‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while the show may be focused on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as they look for custody over Harrison, one viewer is more concerned with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his drinking problem, er, lack of problem… To be honest, we don’t even remember anymore.

In a clip showing Ashland and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) and Summer Newman (Hunter King), one person wants to know Jack’s deal as he went over to see Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and immediately accepted a glass of scotch from Billy. They wrote,

“Naturally Jack accepted a glass of scotch from Billy. That’s what NOT drinking means, right? Giving yourself permission to have one now and then? Or every frickin day? Lol.”

They have a good point, and one fan responded to their comment, “It’s like me and cookies. I’m now on Metformin for high blood glucose. One cookie a day can’t be bad…right?” If Jack has sworn off alcohol and is staying sober, why is he accepting scotch from his brother and why have we seen him drinking on several occasions? The writers haven’t forgotten his sobriety with as they mentioned it not long ago, though it doesn’t seem like they actually know what sobriety means.

What do you think? Do you think Jack should be drinking alcohol at all and have you noticed this as well? Let us know in the comments below.
