They used to be ‘thick as thieves’ as the saying goes, but these days they can barely hold a conversation with one another, let alone be in the same room together.
Even though Kate Middleton was trying to mend things between royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry during Prince Philip’s funeral back in April, not much came out of her efforts.
In fact, there’s a new report that says the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge refused to hang out with Prince Harry right after the funeral because they were worried that anything they could have said would have been leaked to the press. Here’s what you need to know.

After Gayle King told the world that Harry’s conversations with his father Prince Charles and his brother Prince William were “unproductive” following Harry and Meghan Markle’s epic interview with Oprah Winfrey, the royals are staying tight-lipped. Or at least, they are staying tight lipped around Harry.
“They told friends that they could see no point in talking to Harry, since any discussion of substance would go straight back to Meghan to be leaked out via Oprah Winfrey or some other tentacle of the Sussex network,” royal expert Robert Lacey recently told The Sun.
“One of Charles and Williams’ big fears is that whatever discussions they have with Harry are immediately leaked,” he explained. “They will be worried that if they get into any great detail, the next thing they know it will be out in the public domain, which makes it extremely difficult to heal the wounds long-term.”
Now, whether or not Bill and Cathy will hang out with Prince Harry soon after the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue at Kensington Palace next month remains to be seen. Watch this space.
