Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Manipulating Social Media? Negative Comments Deleted From Twitter Accounts

Are there really that many Chrissy Teigen and John Legend stans out there? Just by the looks of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s social media accounts, you’d think that everyone and their mothers were huge fans of the celebrity couple seeing how there is not one negative comment posted on their accounts.

Both Chrissy and John slammed fashion designer Michael Costello for supposedly faking a series of DM’s that Chrissy had sent to him in 2014. The drama began when earlier this week when Michael Costello claimed that Chrissy bullied him so bad that she tried to end his career. Here’s what you need to know.

Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Manipulating Social Media? Negative Comments Deleted From Twitter Accounts

John Legend is defending his wife by claiming that the screenshots shared by Michael Costello of alleged bullying messages that were sent by Chrissy in 2014 are completely fake.

The fashion designer says that because of Chrissy’s bullying, a lot of doors were closed shut on him during the course of his career and that he has also suffered from ongoing trauma.

Earlier this week, Michael wrote that he’s “depressed and has thoughts of suicide” seven years after online interactions with Chrissy.

On Friday, John Legend inserted himself in the narrative by suggesting that Michael Costello’s DM’s are fake.

“Chrissy apologized for her public tweets, but after her apology, Mr Costello fabricated a DM exchange between them,” Legend tweeted on Friday. “This exchange was made up, completely fake, never happened.”

A missing blue check mark, different background colors and the presence of a video chat icon could all indicate the screenshots were fabricated, according to some eagle-eyed critics.

Many of John’s fans commented with glowing praise for the couple on his Twitter account, prompting some critics to wonder if an intern is deleting all of the negative ones.

Some comments have included, “Thank you for speaking out. The fact is that we have all made snide comments. The difference is we are not celebrities. She was brave enough to put a general apology for every hurtful thing she has said. Its time we cut her some slack and forgive,” along with, “Everyone makes mistakes. These people saying she damaged their mental health are doing the same to her now.”

Another fan wrote, “I applaud you for speaking up and standing up for Chrissy. I know she is going through it right now, like many of us, who have screwed up in our past. Doesn’t mean we are not, and weren’t always good people. Just means we could be big A** holes. Then we grow up! HUGS.”

Chrissy herself shared a statement that said, “Chrissy is completely surprised and disappointed by Michael Costello’s recent attack, which includes fictional ‘screenshots’ from 2014 of supposed private messages that Chrissy did not send.”
