Seeing how she had the rug pulled from beneath her, she’d make some changes by now, but she hasn’t. Apparently, Chrissy Teigen is still making jokes about her bullying, which a lot of critics are finding rather distasteful.
The former model issues an apology this week, in which she owned up to her past online behavior, trolling and cyberbullying. Here’s what you need to know.
Chrissy’s downfall began when she told Courtney Stodden told her to kill herself in a series of DM’s on Twitter back in 2011.
While Chrissy did offer a public apology on Twitter, she still has Courtney blocked. If that weren’t enough, she also sent hate messages to Farrah Abraham and suggested Lindsay Lohan should slit her wrists. She also fat shamed Mariah Carey while she was pregnant.
Chrissy Teigen Is Still Making Jokes About Her Bullying
The mother-of-two began her apology with, “I know I’ve been quiet, and lord knows you don’t want to hear about me, but I want you to know I’ve been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate ‘sit here and think about what you’ve done.’”
“Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past,” she continued. “As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I’m truly ashamed of them. As I look at them and understand the hurt they caused, I have to stop and wonder: How could I have done that?”
And while there are some people who are willing to accept her apology, others couldn’t help but ask Chrissy if she were willing to apologize to former President Donald Trump as she had bulled him in the past, too. It looks like she might not be ready just yet.
“Absolutely crying at the amount of you asking if I’m reaching out to the desk of the former president of the United States to apologize for bullying him, the former president of the United States,” she wrote in the post’s comments.
She added: “Please never change. I will, but you. You stay.”
Of course, it didn’t take long for her critics to reply at all.
“Lol!! See?? Nothing changed with you,” said another. “Lesson clearly wasn’t learned. Good luck in your life.”
