Is Fergie suddenly switching sides here? While it definitely takes one insider to know another insider, it appeared as though Sarah Ferguson wasn’t very happy with the way Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview went down with Oprah back in March.
In fact, she was quick to thank Piers Morgan for defending the royal family and criticizing the Sussexes for throwing the royals under the bus in the way they did. Well, a few short months later and it looks like Sarah might now be on Team Meghan. Here’s what you need to know.
Sarah Ferguson Is Suddenly On Team Meghan Markle Again
Just this past week, Sarah congratulated Meghan Markle for her new children’s book, The Bench. The book is dedicated to her husband Prince Harry and tells the story of his close bond that he has with the couple’s son, Archie Harrison.
Fergie, who has written over 70 titles herself, says that this is quite a feat and accomplishment for the Duchess of Sussex. She told the Daily Mail, “To sit down and work hard to write a book, in any genre, should be supported and respected.”
“To encourage literacy in general not just children’s books, is a love of mine and to encourage more women to delve into their creative selves and get a book out is very well done,” Fergie added.
This comes after Piers told the world that Sarah Ferguson was the lone member of the royal family to reach out to him after he got ousted from Good Morning Britain for refusing to apologize to Meghan Markle. He said that he didn’t believe her claims that she suffered from mental health issues during her time at the palace.
“Not all Royal duchesses were as thrilled as Meghan ‘Pinocchio’ Markle to see me leave GMB,” he wrote. “‘People have said how much they miss your morning joy and humor,’ texted Sarah, Duchess of York, ‘get back out there!’”
Piers then suggested he and Sarah should start their own show together.
“Perhaps we should start a new breakfast show together … ‘Morgy and Fergie in the Morning’, anyone?” he wrote.
