When Rebel Wilson didn’t have a partner to confide in, she took to social media to open up about her fertility struggles. And she has struck a chord with the millions of women and couples all in the same boat.
In a revealing Instagram post on Sunday, the Australian actress reached out, saying, “To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya.”
Rebel Wilson Speaks Candidly About Her Fertility Struggles, Thanks Fans For Support
She didn’t give exact details as to what her fertility issues include, but did sign off with a note of optimism, saying “ I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
The actress received a lot of support from both fans and fellow stars in the comments section of the post, like from Sharon Stone who wrote, “Been there repeatedly. There is good news.
I have three beautiful sons.” Stone has also been open about suffering a series of miscarriages before she adopted her sons, Roan, Laird and Quinn.
Wilson appeared to be very touched by the outpouring of love, updating her post by writing: “Just wanted to say I woke up this morning and read through everyone’s kind messages and stories about their journeys and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and has made me feel a lot better today. Social media for the win here in terms of creating connection when I was in a very lonely place. So thank you everyone ?
Wilson has recently shown off a 60+ pound weight loss during her “Year of Health”. Along with a goal weight of 165 pounds, the 41-year-old ‘Pooch Perfect’ host revealed she was contemplating freezing her eggs. It seems it was during this process she received some bad news that may make it hard for her to start a family someday.
We’re glad humanity showed its best, a rarity these days, when bolstering Wilson’s spirits. In turn, Wilson’s open dialogue is sure to help women who find themselves in the same position.
