Step aside, Meghan Markle, because it looks like someone else is about to take away your online streaming crown. There’s a new report that says Lindsay Lohan is set to make her acting return in a festive Netflix romantic comedy.
The former Hollywood starlet will play a newly engaged hotel heiress who loses her memory after a skiing accident. Here’s what you need to know.
According to a tweet from Netflix, Lindsay – who has seen her fair share of negative headlines over the years – will play a “newly-engaged spoiled hotel heiress,” who suffers from amnesia after a skiing accident. She will then find herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his daughter.
Lindsay Lohan Has A New Job With Netflix
The movie will be directed by Janeen Damian, who also co-wrote the script with Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver. The film’s producers are MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian, while Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe will executive produce.
As many fans know, Lindsay Lohan has appeared in teen films such as Freaky Friday and the now-cult film Mean Girls, making her one of the most sought after stars in Hollywood.
She’s also lived abroad in both Europe and Dubai during these last ten years after she was supposedly pushed out of the spotlight.
Even though Lindsay hasn’t been in any big budget Hollywood films, she has been keeping busy throughout the years.
She also appeared on West End’s Speed-the-Plo” in 2014 and starred in the reality series Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, which followed the star as she expanded her business in Greece. If that weren’t enough, Lindsay was a panelist on the Australian version of The Masked Singer.
The as-yet unnamed movie by Netflix will reportedly begin filming in November. No additional casting or release date has been set.
