She wrote in an IG post about the show, “I have struggled with anxiety and panic attacks since I was a little girl.
I wanted to dive deeper to better understand what I was feeling but more so, to share this information with others who may struggle too. I am excited for you to watch my 4 part series with @voguemagazine, now on their Youtube!”
Kendall Jenner opens up about her mental health journey
Kendall described having physical symptoms attributed to her anxiety starting at the tender age of 8, and over time, the symptoms only getting worse. She says there are times in which she has felt like she had to be rushed to the hospital because she thought that her heart was failing at one point.
She also described that there were times when parts of her body would go completely numb. In the series, she sat down with Dr. Ramani, LA-based clinical psychologist (who also has a youtube channel!) to talk about her symptoms and what she’s had to go through from a young age.
Kendall said that the physical symptoms have gotten so bad in the past that she has gone to physical doctors to see what was causing her symptoms, and the pandemic has only brought about some new forms of anxiety that she’s had to deal with. (We all feel you, Kendall.)
She says that every time she has to attend an event or even see friends, that triggers her anxiety, Of people who ask the infamous question, “What’s she getting anxiety about. she’s famous!” she points to her head and indicates, “I still have one of these.” at least Kendall is aware of her privilege, there are so many who aren’t. So let’s give credit where credit is due.
Even though Kendall hates her anxiety, she says that in a way she’s grateful for it because she says that she likes being so in tune and so aware of her body. Sister Kylie commented on her post, giving her kudous for speaking out about her struggles, along with hundres of fans who are glad that she’s using her massive platform to raise awareness to this ever present problem. Looks like this time, Kendall’s doing something right. Stay tuned!!!
