Maybe she just didn’t want flowers? No birthday, holiday, anniversary or celebration will ever be the same for Heidi Klum and her husband, Tokyo Hotel guitarist Tom Kalitz, as he just gifted her a birthday present that money certainly can’t buy: a piece of the Berlin Wall. How do you say, “ummm” in German?
The former supermodel told Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show that Tom got a very meaningful gift for her during her last birthday. As many fans know, Heidi was born in Germany, too.
Heidi Klum’s Husband Gave Her A Piece Of The Berlin Wall For Her Birthday
Heidi shared a photo of the wall in front of her house and said, “It’s the German wall! It’s the Berlin German Wall. My husband was actually born in East Berlin, and I’ve been there many, many times. Obviously, I love Germany. This is where I’m from even though I’ve been here longer than I’ve been in Germany. So he gave this to me for my birthday.”
She also said that the piece of the wall had to be sent from Germany and then lowered by a crane into her garden. And no, Amazon did not deliver it.
“When you guys fight, do you sit on opposite sides of the wall?” Jimmy Kimmell asked her, to which she replied, “No, but this is good, I like it.”
Heidi then added, “I loved it. It’s beautiful. I mean it’s beautiful that it’s broken and it’s not standing there anymore doing what they intended it to do, so I love it as an art piece in the garden.”
No word on what Tom plans on getting Heidi for her next birthday, but may we just suggest a nice schnitzel dinner at home for the two of them?
