They think they know, but they don’t know. If there’s anyone who knows exactly what went down during some of the most difficult times in her life, it’s most definitely Britney Spears and only Britney Spears.
The chart topper has recently hit out and some of the “hypocritical” documentaries that highlight some of the most traumatic times in her life. And according to Britney, they don’t even know half of the story. Here’s what you need to know.
Britney Spears Hits Back At Hypocritical Documentaries About Her Life
As many fans know, Britney is at the forefront of two recent films, one by the New York Times and one by the BBC.
The two docs look at her career in the spotlight as well as mental health struggles which eventually led to her father Jamie obtaining joint control of her estate 13 years ago. He took it over with a wealth management company, despite the fact that Britney never wanted her father in control. In fact, she wants him to keep his social distance as far away from both her and her finances.
Britney posted a video of her dancing with the caption, “2021 is definitely way better than 2020 but I never knew it was gonna be like THIS ??? !!!! So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!! These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing ???????? Damn … I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my life and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative.”
Last year, Britney Spears petitioned to remove her father, Jamie Spears, whom her attorney said she was “afraid” of, from her conservatorship. The court didn’t remove him from her case. Instead, it appointed Bessemer Trust, a private financial institution, as a co-conservator.
