There’s a new report that suggests all of the British media reports surrounding Prince Harry’s trip back to the UK to attend his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral are totally wrong. In fact, royal author and expert Omid Scobie says that it’s all been “wide off the mark.” Here’s what you need to know.
Previous reports have suggested that Prince William was rather frosty to his brother at their grandfather’s funeral while both Princess Anne and Prince Edward turned their backs on the Duke of Sussex.
But apparently, that didn’t happen whatsoever. Scobie tells Harper’s Bazaar that there wasn’t any drama for Harry at the trip and that everyone managed to brush their issues to the side to mourn Prince Philip.

“This trip was to honor the life of his grandfather and support his grandmother and relatives,” a source close to Harry explained. “It was very much a family-focused period of time. Saturday broke the ice for future conversations but outstanding issues have not been addressed at any great length. The family simply put their issues to one side to focus on what mattered.”
What’s more, another insider says that Harry met the queen, who turned 95 on Wednesday, privately on at least two occasions during his time in the country. “The love and respect he has for his grandmother will always be unwavering,” a source previously said.
And while Prince William might have been frosty to his brother behind the scenes, at least the two brothers looked like they were getting along in front of the cameras.
The day of Prince Philip’s funeral service began when Harry and William marched in the royal procession solemnly, but not side-by-side, with their arms rigidly at their sides. The two were also separated during the 50-minute church service.
