British Royal Family News find that many people believe that support starts at home and that could be the reason they are wondering why Meghan Markle didn’t get the help she needed from her own husband, Prince Harry, when she was suffering from her mental health issues during her time as a full-time working member of the royal family.
As a matter of fact, Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith has gone on the record to slam Harry by pointing out that he was the face of a mental wellbeing charity and that he should have given Meghan all the love and support that she needed, rather than complain that the royal family’s HR department didn’t do it. Here’s what he has to say.
British Royal Family News: Critics Want To Know Why Prince Harry Never Helped Meghan Markle With Her Mental Health Issues
Speaking to the Daily Mail in a new interview, Gary Goldsmith makes it pretty clear that he wasn’t impressed with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month.
Both Harry and Meghan claimed that their mental health was so bad that they had no other choice but to leave the UK to start a better life for themselves in California.
Gary questioned Harry’s response to the effects that joining the Royal Family had on Meghan. He said, “Where was he in all this? Surely as her husband, he should have been able to give her the help and support she needed. He’s a senior Army officer who has been in a war zone. He should be able to stand up for himself and his wife. He shouldn’t claim to be family-centric when he has hurt everyone who loves him. You don’t ask for anonymity and take a step back from public life to then throw your family and your grandmother under a bus on TV. Why would you do that? The Royal Family is not racist, it’s not sexist, it’s not ageist. They are a moral compass.”
If that weren’t enough, Gary also contrasted Harry and Meghan’s attitude to that of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s. He said, “‘Both William and Kate understand they are being paid by the taxpayer to do a job. They smash it. It’s a tough gig. It’s relentless. But it’s also a position of privilege. If you have that privilege, don’t throw it back in people’s faces. In all the years Kate has been in the public eye, she has never put a foot wrong. She was born for the role. She has risen above the criticism and just got on with the job.”
So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the criticism.
