Lori Loughlin wants her passport back, please and thank you. The television actress would like the little blue book back now that she’s out of prison.
Not only that, but the disgraced Hallmark Channel starlet wants to return to work, but is afraid that no one will want to work with her again because of her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal. Here’s what you need to know.
As many fans know, Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were caught in a massive college bribe scandal in which the couple paid a heap of money to get their daughters admitted into the University of Southern California.
Lori Loughlin Wants Her Passport Back
The actress surrendered her passport in late March to US Pretrial Services after she and a dozen other supposedly pretentious parents were busted in a widespread college admissions scheme that made headlines back in 2019.
Lawyers for the former Full House star have filed court documents asking that her passport be returned. They’ve also noted that she served her two-month sentence and paid the court-imposed $150,000 fine.
With that said, Lori would also like to move on with her life already. One source close to the situation even told ET Online that the 56-year-old actress is desperate to get her old life back.
“[Lori] would love to start working again one day, but she is scared people won’t work with her,” the source says, adding that Loughlin has already “had her team put out feelers.”
According to the source, prison was “unlike anything Lori has ever experienced in her life,” and heading home “was like a dream come true.”
“Lori’s homecoming was perfect. Her girls put together a special homecoming with flowers, welcome home decorations and her favorite foods,” the source says. “She was emotionally overwhelmed by how much she missed them and still has to remind herself that if anything good came out of all this it’s their closeness and renewed faith in their tightknit family.”
