The singer Halsey has received a lot of support in light of her decision to change her social media bio pronouns.
Halsey Receives Huge Support After Changing Her Pronouns
In response to the warm reception, Halsey told her fans simply: “thank you.” And fans continued to pour out in droves with many positive comments. One fan wrote: “Let Halsey be who they wanna be!” while another stated, “no, like actually this means so f—king much to me because I’ve been struggling with my gender identity so much lately.”
The singer has had a long struggle with her identity since she first came out as a bisexual in 2015. That has not stopped her, though, from pursuing what she wants. None more so than her wish to start a family. And yet, it was not her sexuality getting in the way, but rather some health issues. It seems that Halsey had been suffering from endometriosis, which can lead to fertility issues.
In a previous interview on The Doctors, she said: “Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel like less of a woman. You don’t feel sexy, you don’t feel proud, and you don’t feel like there’s much hope, so taking these measures to make sure that I get to have a hopefully bright future and achieve the things that I want to achieve by doing the ovarian reserve is really important.”
But it is not just those problems that have prevented her from having a family. She has yet to find her special someone to do it with. And she has spoken on suffering from identity issues when it comes to her dating life. The pressure of it all got a bit too much to deal with if her previous comments are anything to go by.
In an old tweet to her fans, she said: “So if I’m dating a guy, I’m straight, and if I date a woman, I’m a lesbian. The only way to be a #True bisexual is to date two people at once.” If Halsey continues to make waves in the music scene, then it is only a matter of time before she finds someone to settle down with. And who knows, she may even start a family.
