‘The Bachelor’ spoilers reveal that Kim Kirkconnell, who happens to be the mother of Rachael Kirkconnell, has passionately defended her daughter following accusations that Rachael was perpetuating racism due to her previous social media activity.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Kim offered her support, which could be expected given that she is a mother after all. She said: “No one should have to go through what she has been through. We have seen the devastation and heartbreak this has caused for Rachael. But aside from it just being a run of the mill defence, Kim felt that Rachael had been forgotten, or even silenced, amid the whole furore that has surfaced.
She continued: “Rachael has felt hopeless and frustrated about not being able to address the issue and speak her side. Many of us have received threats. But mostly, I just worry about Rachael because she has been by far the most devastated by this.” Kim feels the public owes Rachael the chance to put her wrongs right, particularly to Matt James, who has been disappointed by the comments.
She added: “[We] will never be able to understand how he feels about this situation as a Black man. We respect his stance on the situation [but Rachael] wants to be able to prove to him that she has changed and work with him to fight against injustice. This isn’t about winning a show. This was about finding love with Matt.”
And aside from Rachael, Chris Harrison has also been feeling the brunt of the broader public after he came under fire for his comments in response. While he has stepped down from his hosting role on The Bachelor franchise, there have still been some wider consequences. Another company, Procter & Gamble Co, has come and said they would be looking into the comments made by Chris, who has been used by them in advertising Crest.
An official statement by the company said: “We are aware of the developments around Chris Harrison and his role as host of The Bachelor. We are in the process of gathering more information about these circumstances to determine our next steps. We are deeply disappointed in his comments, which do not reflect our values.”
