Lori Loughlin has finally gotten her passport back, but can she travel? That’s what her fans are asking right now as there’s a new report that says the television actress will soon be able to travel out of the United States following her years-long federal case for her involvement in the college admissions scandal. Here’s what you need to know.
Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli made headlines when they were caught in a massive college bribe scandal in which the couple paid a heap of money to get their daughters Isabella Giannulli and Olivia Jade Giannulli admitted into the University of Southern California.
Lori Loughlin Finally Gets Her Passport Back
The Full House alum surrendered her passport in late March to US Pretrial Services after she and a dozen other supposedly pretentious parents were busted in a widespread college admissions scheme that made headlines back in 2019.
Just last week, Lori’s lawyers filed court documents asking that her passport be returned. They’ve also noted that she served her two-month sentence and paid the court-imposed $150,000 fine. Her passport had been in the custody of the United States Pretrial Services Office since March 27, 2019.
And now Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton responded to Loughlin’s attorney’s request, handwriting in a document, “Motion allowed.” What’s more, her legal team notes that on Nov. 24, 2020, “the government filed a Satisfaction of Judgment confirming that Ms. Loughlin had paid her fine in full.”
Meanwhile, Lori’s husband Mossimo continues to serve his five-month prison sentence at a facility in Lompoc, Calif. And just like his wife Lori, the fashion designer was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine with two years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service.
So far Lori herself has not made any comments as far as to when she plans on using her passport or where she will be going for that matter.
