Netflix’s ‘The Crew’ is a new comedy series starring Kevin James as the crew chief for a NASCAR team. However, when the owner decides to walk away he leaves his daughter in charge. Now James will have to step up and make sure she knows what she’s doing and doesn’t destroy the team.

You can view the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“The Crew stars Kevin James as the crew chief for a NASCAR team. When the owner steps down and passes the team off to his daughter, James has to protect himself and his crew from her attempts to modernize the team. Watch The Crew only on Netflix, February 15.”

This doesn’t look like the greatest series to be made and feels like an early 2000s’ comedy that ran for a six-episode first season and got canceled. Kevin James is fantastic and has a lot of great work under his belt, this just doesn’t look like it’s going to be funny though.

Viewers commented on the trailer, “This makes Kevin Can Wait look good by comparison. No small feat.”, “Continuity error with the most obvious product placement EVER: Dunkin Donuts.”, “Netflix you need to fire whoever puts these trailers together, they left out all the funny parts.”, “This looks absolutely horrendous. Seriously, why are clichèd, multi-camera, laugh track sitcoms still getting greenlit and produced?” and “Hope its better than Kevin Can Wait. That show was really NOT funny.”

It looks like the general consensus isn’t great and that’s too bad. James is better than this, but even the viewers in the comments saw right through this trailer. If you still want to give the series a chance, it starts next month on February 15.
