It looks like Lori Loughlin won’t have her husband home in time for Valentine’s Day. That’s because Mossimo Giannulli is going to have to spend a little more time in prison. A federal judge Tuesday rebuffed his bid to be released to home confinement, as there was no “extraordinary or compelling reason” to do so.
According to reports, Mossimo had tried arguing in court papers in mid-January that he’d spent so much time in solitary confinement and quarantine amid COVID-19, it was already as if he had endured his entire punishment. He’s a little more than two months into his five-month prison sentence.
Mossimo Giannulli Loses His Bid For Early Prison Release
In his court filing, Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton said that while Giannulli’s conditions spent in solitary confinement were “more onerous than they would have been but for the pandemic,” he doesn’t present a need to return home.
“In any event, although defendant’s quarantine was longer than anticipated, he has since been released to the general population and has given no extraordinary or compelling reason why his current circumstances in the camp warrant immediate release,” the judge writes.
Judge Gorton goes on to note that Giannulli has “not shown, for instance, that he suffers from any condition which would place him at an increased risk of severe illness due to COVID-19 nor, indeed, that he suffers from any particular medical condition.”
Meanwhile, Lori is hoping to get back to work but is scared that the entertainment industry doesn’t want to work with her anymore. One source close to the situation told ET Online that the 56-year-old actress is desperate to get her old life back.
“[Lori] would love to start working again one day, but she is scared people won’t work with her,” the source says, adding that Loughlin has already “had her team put out feelers.”
